Henry Bacon McKoy (1893-1991) was a lawyer of Wilmington, N.C. He was the son of William Berry McKoy (1862-1928) and Katherine (Bacon) McKoy, and his maternal grandfather was Henry Bacon (1822-1891). The collection consists of letters, wills, deeds, business papers, genealogical compilations, albums, writings, printed matter, and other materials (originals and copies) relating to the McKoy family, Bacon family, Usher family, Berry family, and related families of the lower Cape Fear Valley of North Carolina. The materials were gathered or created by William Berry McKoy (1852-1928) with additions and organization by his son, Henry Bacon McKoy, and includes genealogical correspondence and writings of Henry Bacon (1822-1891), railroad executive and government port engineer.
